Looking at a picture, allowing yourself to be absorbed, is quite similar to reading. Immersing into a story, diving in.
I love to get lost in reading books and I painted this artwork to remind myself to read more.

Life is so precious and every day, that we are living healthy, is a day to celebrate. So often we forget this and then a sudden illness within our families or circle of friends can change our lives in an instant.
This is why I created the artwork ROUGE and will donate 50% of each sale to DKMS Life, a non-profit organization giving persons with cancer hope and support during their therapy while aiming to positively influence the healing process through multiple campaigns.
Thank you so much for supporting!

Capturing the colors of the beaches of the West Frisian Islands. Looking at the coast, it’s the play of transparency for me. The mighty tides shape everything around them. Open to the unexpected, capturing the spirit of free-flowing, balancing the finished and unfinished. Let this piece remind you to embrace fragility and cherish the little nothings.

Intense, colorful, lovely and inspiring Maroc. Road tripping and enjoying the country, eating sardines in the harbor, meeting new people, good talks and wandering until staying in Marrakech. And even the drying laundry looks so beautiful that I had to capture the moment which resulted in “Koutoubia Marrakech”. Enjoy the intensity of the colors and feel the love!

I painted this gingko in a vibrant orange, a color that bursts with positive energy and happiness. The color psychology of orange is optimistic and uplifting, inspiring creativity and rejuvenating our spirit.
I love the gingko tree in front of much house so much. In Japan the ginkgo’s fan-shaped leaf has caried symbolism along with its singular beauty: A symbol of growth, protection, peace, strength and hope, a symbol of longevity and a symbol of love.
